The YelTech/Broadsens wireless ultrasonic thickness sensors have multiple applications:
- corrosion/erosion monitoring
- bolt preload, tension and fitting measurements
- integrity monitoring
These sensors are very accurate and have a large range. They not only measure the thickness change in real time, but also have data logging ability making them essential to structural safety monitoring.
In for the long haul
The edge-computing gateways can store years of measurement data, and stream data to clouds optionally. The WUT204-S has up to a 10 year battery life and can measure anything from 3mm to 1,000mm depth. The sensor has a high resolution of 0.001mm with 0.01mm repeatability at room temperature making it extremely accurate. With replaceable ultrasonic probes and designed to withstand harsh environments with IP67 waterproof rating, it is ideally suited to almost any industrial application.
The data logger has the ability to allow the sensors to work in a completely sealed Faraday chamber. For more complex applications, the WUT sensors can be multiplied up for parallel monitoring. In fact, there is no upper limit to scaling of sensors.
