Emergency Warning Board (EWB)
YELWarning is a lightweight Emergency Warning Board (EWB) that is installed next to the track to warn train drivers of temporary speed restrictions. It has two high powered LEDs mounted on a reflective yellow screen with black chevrons.
The EWB is Network Rail approved, has shoulder straps for handsfree carrying and it is the first speed restriction product that allows
instant board-to-engineer communication.
Two sizes – Automated Alerts
There are two sizes of EWB available to cover all warning scenarios. The large EWB is 107cm x 65cm and only weighs 12 kg. It has shoulder straps available making it a versatile trackside piece of safety equipment. Straps are also available for the smaller EWB, which measures 70cm x 48cm and only weighs 10 kg.
The EWB contains our innovative automatic SMS/email notification alert system. If the board has fallen over when turned on or off, or your battery is low (2 days to lights out), or lights have turned off/failed, then an alert can be sent via SMS and/or email.
The system can only be turned on using a key. As a safety device, this prevents unauthorised switch-off. Turning the key not only switches the EWB on, but it also initiates a self-diagnostic mode to check for faults. After 10 seconds, the unit reverts to operation mode.

Charging
YELCharge is a combined stand and charger for our lightweight Emergency Warning Board. The stand can store up to 4 small and/or large EWBs, ensuring that the smart boards are always available and ready for deployment.
The charging cradle includes minimal cabling, easy-to-use distinct charging points, trip switches to prevent incorrect and/or over charging, and adjustable legs. The YELCharge only measures 100cm x 50cm making it a practical and necessary addition to the EWB range.
